I work full-time as a librarian, but on the side I offer freelance writing and Dayton, Ohio-area historical research services. In addition I am available for speaking opportunities.
Speaking
- I’ve been an invited or keynote speaker for Heritage Ohio, PechaKucha Dayton, the Dayton Metro Library, the Dayton Bar Association, and many other organizations. I’ve appeared on WYSO’s Book Nook, WMKV, Fox45, and more. I have also presented at a variety of national and regional professional conferences.
- My local history presentations have focused on Dayton neighborhoods, industries, buildings, and most often connect the past to current redevelopment efforts.
- As a librarian, I have presented on avoiding misinformation, using generative AI, staying organized and productive in the digital age, and much more.
Writing Services
- My writing has been widely published in print and online and I have worked for clients as a content writer, book ghostwriter, editor, and consultant.
Research Services
- I have conducted research for clients and created house and building histories.
