New Podcast on Dayton History, Redevelopment, and Urbanism!

February 4, 2026 by Andrew Walsh Leave a Comment

I’m excited to share that I’ve started a podcast!

Over the past few years my writing on Dayton history and redevelopment has grown into more talks and YouTube videos as well.

Along the way, a few people suggested that a podcast would be a natural next step, and a new way to keep up with my work while on the go.

Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to make the leap, and to the people who have invited me for interviews on their podcasts over the past few years, like Creating the Future, Gem City Podcast, Discover Dayton, and more. It’s exciting to be joining an already strong podcast ecosystem here in Dayton.

It took me a little while but I finally took the plunge and hit record! My first episode looks at 5 redevelopment projects to watch in 2026, and why their history still matters today.

It took me a little while to get everything set up, but now you can subscribe to the Dayton Vistas Podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or Amazon Music, and also watch video episodes on my YouTube channel.

Links to all episodes, including full show notes and related history articles, will be posted at http://daytonvistas.com/podcast.
